During the debate with president Jean Claude Juncker, Portuguese prime minister Antonio Costa and the commissioner Carlos Moedas
The debate was about the future of Europe. Several critical points were aroused during the discussion, for me I raised the issue of higher education and research, so I highlighted the importance of creating higher education opportunities (exchange programs), because education is the best tool to fight poverty, disease and extremism. Also I highlighted the importance of extending the exchange programs to include scholars from third world countries ( on this point I spoke from my experience, being awarded a scholarship that paved the way for my career as a researcher here in Europe).
